The Maintenance Technician will support production / quality of product produced by ensuring the efficient operating of packaging and conveyer equipment through daily maintenance and preventative maintenance. This role maybe required to work at the Germantown Plant or Mequon Plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Completing preventive maintenance requirement(s) on motors, gearboxes, conveying systems, packaging and various other production equipment.

· Must be able to read / comprehend diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturing instructions for equipment and building.

· Troubleshoot various mechanical devices, visually and listening to determine the source of problem.

· Ability to operate boom lift, forklifts, skid-steer, hoists, come-along tools and an assortment of powered hand tools.

· Ability to determine system capacity and sizing of parts using various tools (i.e.: caliber, micrometer, tachometer and other measuring instruments).

· Fabricate materials using shop tools (i.e.: welder, brake, plasma, lathe and other various tools).

· Follow all safety requirements inside and outside of the plant. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

· Performs all other related duties as requested or assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Technical degree in a related area, a plus.

Industrial Maintenance Experience – 1 – 2 years.

Electrical experience a plus.

Proven strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Able to work at elevated levels of 85 feet.

1st shift – flexibility on shift times. Start times between 4 am – 6 am.

Daily hours between 8 to 10 hours.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to perform some prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, observing, climbing, balancing, and lifting, carrying and moving objects.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
